La Forclaz Presentation

La Forclaz is located on the left bank of the « Grande-Eau » River in the fold of the Chamossaire foothills. Local clubs are very active all year round, taking great pride in animating this tiny corner of the country whose village charm has worked its wonders on many a holiday resident.

La Forclaz has kept its character and the autarkic heritage of the past. This charming village, which is part of the municipality of Ormont-Dessous, is an architectural treasure: a chalet from 1618, many Ormonan granaries and a wooden chapel.

The village is animated all year round by the many local clubs, including the festival of «La Désalpe», which attracts a considerable public. During the "Thursday Markets" in summer, visitors come to buy local products and the bread made the old-fashioned way in the bread oven.

In winter, you can practice skiing during the day but also at night in a magical atmosphere. In summer, in addition to the many hiking trails, tennis and petanque courts are available, as well as a block wall.
